Sacramento River Salmon Fishing Report For August 16, 2016

Salmon fishing on the Sacramento River in Northern California has again got off to a slow start. The Salmon fishing guides and recreational salmon angler alike who have salmon fished since the Sacramento River salmon season opener on July 16, 2016 have all had slow days and eagerly awaited the arrival of the 2016 Fall Run Chinook Salmon. I am happy to report that in the last week and certainly more so in the last couple days, some Northern California salmon fishing guides from Hamilton City, Ca all the way as far north as the Barge Hole in Cottonwood Ca, have been reporting consistent salmon fishing action for up to a week now. "By no means is the salmon fishing red hot, and should not be mistaken for the limit out style of salmon fishing that most experienced guides will be having in September and October as the bulk of the Fall Run Chinook Salmon arrive." "Infact." Says John Pearl a experience Sacramento River salmon guide himself. "Success is coming in chrome bright 15-20 pound packages that bite violently when threatened by a K16 Kwikfish. They are the best quality of fish that we will see all season." Pearl goes on to say that success this time of year is like the old cliche, quality over quantity.  Making maybe only one or two of these high quality kings a trophy, worthy of acknowledgement to the Sacramento River salmon fishing guides that have pulled that off this last week, as the months full moon starts its migratory cycle bringing kings all the way to the top of the Sacramento River system very quickly and arriving in still brilliant shape. The Sacramento River salmon fishing guides who have put in the time on the water to figure out a successful daily routine, are being rewarded with their clients overwhelming gratitude for the experience of fighting and actually landing one of these early arriving Fall Run Chinook Salmon.  Sacramento River salmon fishing guides, like Dave Jacobs at sacramentofishing.com with well over a decade under his belt on the Sacramento River, are reporting this week that king salmon are finding their way to fish box. Scott Feist at feistyfish.net  was also reported putting salmon in the fish box daily this past week.  Farther down river Sacramento River salmon fishing guide  Billy Driessen also reports landing a king salmon on his outings this previous week. Our SalmonSacRiver.com Sacramento River Salmon fishing guides John Pearl, and Mike Rasmussen agreed that the few dedicated and experienced salmon fishing guides have been able to produce salmon daily for their clients. The salmon fishing on the Sacramento River is only getting better by the day and finding a experienced salmon fishing guide before they are all booked up for the year would be a good idea to do very soon. Contact John Pearl at 707-536-3984 or Mike Rasmussen at 530-722-8876 both experienced Sacramento River salmon fishing guides with SalmonSacRiver.com. Call or book a salmon fishing trip with your friends or families before its to late.
